Don first remodeled my wife’s cousin’s basement and then was hired to do her uncle’s basement. He did an impressive job for both of them. We looked around when we wanted to remodel our basement. Don came in with the lowest bid and he designed the basement for only $200 (others wanted over $1,000 just for the design). He prides himself on leaving every day with a completely clean work area (unheard of in the construction community). He has been in the basement world for many years and his subcontractors all arrive on the day planned and complete their work on schedule. From start to finish, the basement remodel took about 6 weeks. The price, quality, and responsiveness was unbelievable.

Don and his subcontractors were also very punctual and all were professional. We have posted information regarding Don's service on Angieslist.com, as well as some of his subcontractors, as they were also all top notch. My wife’s uncle moved to Longmont and the first person that they called was Don to complete their new basement. Don is a valuable family asset that we wanted to let others know about. He came in on time and on budget. Every time we did a change order, Don and his crew worked with us to understand the change in overall cost. Don has an eye for detail. You would never know that the basement was done 10 years after the rest of the house. The doors, molding, and wall finishing exactly match the rest of the house.

I have had the pleasure of working with Don McCarver on a major project at my home. We hired Don to do a turn-key basement completion for us. This was a fairly large project that encompassed over 1,000 sq. feet of raw cement unfinished basement.

Don and his sub-contractors were extremely careful to cause as little distraction as possible to the rest of our home, and our lives. Don kept the job site clean and was able to, with the help of an ingenious zippered door device, partition off the rest of the house from the dust and dirt. During the framing and construction Don was very helpful and courteous. Don brought a wealth of experience that enabled us to create some very special custom touches in our project with minimal expense.

Don's prices were better than most of the quotes we received, and his workmanship and the finished project was far superior to what we looked at in our initial search for a contractor. Perhaps the most compelling aspects of working with Don was his desire to assure that we were getting what we wanted ... and his honesty. As with any large project, there were small hiccups, but Don always quickly resolved any problems and went the extra mile to insure that everything was as close to perfect as possible, and that all aspects of the project met our wants and needs.

I would strongly recommend Don to anyone considering a home remodeling project or basement completion.
